WINTER 2025 - 

     The first snow has fallen at Asbury Woods and the deer cover the field. Asbury Woods wants to wish you all a Happy Holidays and Merry Christmas. We look forward to having our Winter Retreat for all youth 3rd through 12th grade. More information and registration to follow on asburywoodswv.com and our Facebook. We can't wait to celebrate the winter months with everyone. 

 

     Another end of year celebration is to thank all of our supporters and sponsors, both named and unnamed, for your support of Asbury Woods. This year we have done the following with donations and grants received.

  • Purchased (6) new mattresses thanks to First United Methodist Church Huntington 
  • Purchased (10) new nightstand shelves for the bedrooms in 9th Avenue and Myers buildings thanks to First United Methodist Church Huntington
  • Provided (9) Camp Scholarships provided by many of you and our corporate sponsors
  • Installed a new playground and Gaga Ball Pit with grants provided by the United Methodist Foundation West Virginia
  • Provided financial support for camp maintenance, utilities, upkeep, and other operations from the Nine Rivers District of the West Virginia Conference of the United Methodist Church 

 

      Thank you all for your continued support for the mission of Asbury Woods and the youth served. With everyone's support, we can continue to build our nonprofit organization to serve more in the community and beyond. 

 

 

FALL 2025 - 

     As the leaves begin to blanket the trails and the campfire ring of Asbury Woods, the camp is winding down from an active summer filled with laughter, friendships and exploration. Our sights are shifting to making preparations for next summer and we need to remind ourselves to enjoy the slowing down during the fall season and pull families together in a busy time of sports and other activities. To celebrate fall and family time, Asbury Woods will be hosting a family campout on Saturday October 25 and will end after hiking church led by Schauna Chambers on Sunday October 26. Bring a tent and your sleeping bags and enjoy a night at Asbury Woods. Dinner and breakfast will be provided. Please send RSVP to Asburywoods.wv@gmail.com.
